- PITB’s transportation retro group formed in 1995.
- Members have earned $127 M in refunds
- Refunds for the last three plan years is $24 M

The DSP Numbers
- First DSP employers joined the PITB Retro group in mid-2020 and there are currently 10 members in the group. We have been collecting data on DSP employers to measure their success.
- In Plan Year 2022 DSP employers vested in the program earned an average premium refund of 33.4%
- In 2025, 2 DSP members earned the claims free discount and will enjoy a 40% premium discount.
The Services
- Approach Management Services is the third-party retro administrator serving the groups’ members
- Members have an assigned professional claims manager who works directly with L&I to adjudicate claims
- Members have access to a safety manager who provides onsite service
- Approach Managements services are built for member success including access to the client portal with templates, compliance information and much more.
