HOW
TO SET YOUR DISCOUNTS
The difference between "FLOOR MINIMUM
CHARGE" and "regular Minimum
Charge"
MC Floor is an undiscounted Minimum Charge. This
is the absolute minimum dollar amount of the
shipment, regardless of class or weight. The rater
first compares the rate X weight against the
Minimum Charge, then applies the discount. This
discounted amount is then compared to the Floor
Minimum Charge, applying the Floor ONLY if it
exceeds the discounted Minimum Charge.
To Set Discounts,
click on Discounts and choose from the following:

rates and minimum charges by class and weight
HEADLINE ZIPS
(origin zips )- Type in your Origin Zip(s) and
press ENTER or click on the ADD button. NOTE: If you use a
Canadian postal code as the Headline Zip, you MUST
use U.S. Zip codes as the Sideline Zips. In some
cases, the system may ask for a 5-character
Canadian postal code.
SIDELINE ZIPS
(destination zip(s) ) - Sideline Zip Codes appear
along the left side of your PriceSheet.
These zips are paired with your Headline Zip to
obtain shipment rates. The system ranges Sideline
Zips that have the same rates, unless you tell it
not to. You have three methods of choosing zips:
5 Digit Zip Codes Click
Create New File. Enter a 5-digit zip or
a range. If you enter 5 digits and Return twice,
then the single Zip is displayed in the white
"zip box". To enter a range, such as
97214-34, enter 97214 in the 1st small box, then
34 in second small box, then Enter. Double-click
on Zips you want to delete.
3 Digit Zip Codes Follow same procedure as with
5-Digit Zips. If you click STATE SELECT, select
the desired state(s).
All Generates rates for all shipments between your
Headline Zip(s) and the entire U.S. or Canada.
Also if you also choose Do NOT Range Zips - the
system creates a line of output for every zip
code, even if it has the same rate as the zip
before or after it.
